Our Love *Hip Kit Club*

Hello everyone!

I'm over on the Hip Kit Club Facebook page today sharing this layout I created using the January 2016 Hip Kits...

I used the awesome heart cut file from Ashley Horton (available here) as the main inspiration and base of my page.

I had these photos of my oldest son and my daughter acting silly while we waited on dental appointments that I just had to scrap since my son rarely makes photo appearances anymore. He's 13 so...ya know....

I used lots of stickers and wood veneer pieces from the Hello Love Collection from Crate Paper that's available in the January kits for my accents and embellishments. I also added a few chipboard stickers from the same collection and journaled on a tag from My Mind's Eye to complete my page.

Be sure and check out the Hip Kit Club Facebook page and blog for even more inspiration using the January 2016 Hip Kits.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you have a fantastic day!

Freckled Fawn/Altenew Collaboration Blog Hop & Giveaway!

Freckled Fawn and Altenew have teamed up, collaborated, and created some lovely projects and inspiration for you to enjoy today! Plus, both companies are giving away $120 worth of products for you to win just by following along with us on the hop and by leaving a little "love" for everyone participating.

I'm next up on the hop if you came from Svitlana Shayevich's blog. For my layout, I chose the lovely Geometric Menagerie Stamp Set from Altenew and used items from recent FF Ohdeerme Kits to create my page...

"You Fill My Heart With Pride"

My daughter's dance competition group dressed up like tigers last season for one of their performances and I thought these adorable photos would be perfect to use with the stamp set! I started creating my background design of the animals by randomly stamping their images diagonally across some white card stock using some black StazOn ink...which is my go-to black ink:)

I framed my photos with glitter frames and added some fun coordinating embellishments from Freckled Fawn around my page. I just love how the dimensional rhinestone stickers from the January Embellishment Kit "Capture" look next to the geometric animals!

I added a bit of washi tape from the Capture kit across the bottom of the gold glitter frame and stamped one of the sentiments from the Geometric Menagerie Stamp Set on a label sticker for my page title.

And finally, I printed off my journaling and cut it into strips before I adhered it to my page using some tiny Glue Dots.

As I mentioned above, you can win prizes from both companies by following along with the hop and by leaving comments on each participants blog. Not one, but TWO winners will be randomly chosen throughout the hop to win!

$120 is up for grabs so be sure and leave everyone a little love! Next up on the hop is Amy Gray and here's the full list of participants if you get a little lost :)

Best Day Ever *Hip Kit Club*

Hello everyone!

I'm sharing this layout I created using the last of my December 2015 Hip Kits over on the Hip Kit Club blog today...

I used one of Nicole Nowosad's cut files and enlarged it to take up most of my page. I backed the triangle shapes inside of the heart with different pieces of patterned paper from the December kits

I placed two photos of my youngest son showing off his new glasses in the middle of the heart and then layered several embellishments such as chipboard stickers and ephemera bits from Crate Paper around them.

I machine stitched the heart cut file using a zig-zag stitch and some black thread for contrast. I just love how the white heart pops against the dark gray background!

Lastly, I added the large wood veneer sentiment towards the bottom of the heart and a few wood veneer stars to coordinate with the color scheme. I have to say that I really love how this layout turned out!

Be sure and check out the Hip Kit Club online store for more inspiration and grab your kits today! Thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful day!

Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016! *Hip Kit Club*

Hello everyone! One of my first goals for the new year was to finish last year's Project Life album and re-think my new album for 2016. I've been using the same format and page protectors since I started Project Life four years ago and I'm ready for a change!

First, here's a look at the last page of my 2015 PL album...

I actually ran out of the Becky Higgins Design A page protectors right before I got ready to make this, so I used Design C instead, placing 2 - 3x4 cards together to create the illusion of two separate pockets.

I filled my last page with a recent family photo, my #2015bestnine Instagram image, and a few thoughts and reflections on the past year that I hand wrote on journaling cards from the December 2015 Project Life Kit.

I really love how colorful and bold my page turned out! I also love that I put that Peacock Glitter Tape (available in the December 2015 Main Kit) to good use by adding small strips to a few of my filler cards.

Now let's take a look at my introduction page for this year's 2016 PL album...

I knew I wanted to use a new size for this year's PL and I had a 9x12 album sitting unopened in my craft room so that's the one I chose!

Once again I used items from the December 2015 Hip Kits for this page...I just LOVE the color scheme because it's so bright and happy.

I have several page protectors for this size album, but I plan on altering some old ones in case I need more. I've also decided to do a two page spread for each month so I'm hoping I'll have enough.

Do you have a game plan for your 2016 Project Life album? Be sure and share your spreads with us over on the Hip Kit Club Facebook page! Thank you so much for stopping by today :)

Moments To Remember *Hip Kit Club*

Happy Tuesday, friends!

I'm sharing this fun layout on the Hip Kit Club blog today...

I recently made the photo grid that I used on this layout on Instagram (and you can check out the link here to make yours!) and used the screenshot of my #2015bestnine printed off at 5x7.

Using the December 2015 Hip Kits, I added several chipboard embellishments, glitter foam stickers, and flair buttons that are HKC exclusives and designed my layout.

I kept my overall page design vertical and added lots of ink splatters and wood veneer stars around the main elements of my page for visual balance and interest.

I always love creating a layout at the end of each year as a recap and this year Instagram made it a whole lot easier for me to complete! You can follow my feed on IG @adriennealvis.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous day!

January Ohdeerme Kit Creations

Happy Monday!

I have two layouts to share with you today that I created using "Capture", the new January Ohdeerme Kit from Freckled Fawn...

The bold colors in this kit are PERFECT for any project! And I really love how well they pair with anything black and white :)

I placed my photos in the glitter frames from the December Ohdeerme Kit, "Gypsy", and layered them on top of the frame patterned paper.

I placed hearts in frames all around my page and embellished around them using items from Capture and other past kits.

For this next layout, I layered a bunch of the acetate hearts from the January kit across my page horizontally and added some FF glitter hearts and my title to the left of my photo.

I also layered several FF chipboard word stickers on top of the glitter hearts for extra dimension.

I layered one of the flair buttons from the kit on top of a painted wood flower from December's kit and placed it on the right side of my framed photo.

The January Ohdeerme kit is gorgeous so be sure and get yours today! And don't forget to check out the new Planner kit from Freckled Fawn as well!

I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Pinkfresh Studio's New Collections!

Hello everyone and happy New Year!

I'm excited for a fresh beginning and a new outlook on the upcoming year! And I'm excited to be sharing my first blog post over at Pinkfresh Studio today!

I created two layouts using their new collections, Felicity and Life Noted...

I fussy-cut a bunch of houses from one of the patterned papers in the Felicity collection for this page.

I also layered lots of the embellishments, such as the sequin studio puffs and the color block wood stickers around my page as well.

I cut out my title using my Silhouette and hand wrote my journaling on one of the die cut tags from the collection to finish it off.

For this next layout, I used items from the Life Noted collection...

I cut out a bunch of gemstones from one of the patterned paper pieces and layered them on top of one of the stamps in the collection.

I added one of the foil wood stickers to the bottom of my photo and placed one of the acetate word phrases to the right of it.

I printed my journaling off of my computer and placed the strips at the bottom of the gemstone cut file that I enlarged for my page.

These collections are filled with so many amazing pieces and will hit wholesalers in March, but you can get a chance to win them both before then! Just head over to the reveal post here for all of the info!

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
