Week 17

Happy weekend, everyone!

I'm still plugging away at my Project Life album for this year and I really, truly enjoy it as much as I did when I started back in January of 2013.  I am also constantly going back through it and looking up information from past events and happenings to help refresh my memory.  I guess that means it's serving it's purpose after all :)

Here's a look at my spread for Week 17 using lots of great spring and summer-themed items from the Come On Get Crafty shop...

Highlights from Week 17 include getting our first nest of bluebird eggs for the season, my hubby bought a new truck (first one in over 14 years, lol!), and Avery learned how to ride the Scrambler all by herself!  We also enjoyed some great spring weather, fired up our new grill, and spent a lot of time outside this week.

Me & You

Hello friends!

I'm showcasing some of the Maggie Holmes Flea Market Vellum that's available in the Come On Get Crafty online shop...

I cut the Big Bokeh vellum into strips and adhered it to a piece of 8.5 x 11 piece of white card stock.  I added several big chipboard pieces and layered several embellishments around and on top of the gold doilies that I cut out individually from the Flea Market Doilies Vellum.

I also used a Maggie Holmes Flea Market Gold Photo Frame from the COGC shop and placed it on top of the photo of me and my hubby on our last date night.

Be sure and stop by the Come On Get Crafty blog for my full post.

Have a great day!

Adventure in DC

Happy Wednesday!

I created this layout for the Scrapbook Circle blog using the May kit, High Five...

I used more of the softer elements from this month's kit for this layout.  I love the Heidi Swapp Favorite Things Ephemera pack that's included.

To find out how I created the sparkly splatters (below) head on over to the SBC blog for more details.

This is my last layout for the Scrapbook Circle DT.  It's bittersweet because I made the decision of stepping down based on the fact that my family will be traveling a lot more due to my husband's job circumstances.  I just can't "do it all" even though I try to fool myself into thinking that I can.  I have loved every single kit that I have worked with from Scrapbook Circle and will miss working with everyone on the team.  I am truly honored to have gotten this opportunity and I wish them all the best!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Saturday, everyone!

It's time for another sketch challenge over at Come On Get Crafty!

I stuck close to the sketch, but added a few extra layers of patterned paper and a few gold doilies.

I took these photos last Easter and never got around to scrapping them until now.

Circle Round Up

Hello everyone!

I'm sharing a layout I created over on the Scrapbook Circle blog that was inspired by this month's Circle Round Up...

Circle Round Up is a great way to use up product from your SBC kits each month.  All you have to do is use the different elements in the circles as inspiration for your layout.

I used each of the elements in the circle to complete this layout...can you spot the different elements from this month's High Five kit in my layout?

To see how I used each element and to view my full post, head on over to the SBC blog and check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a good one :)

Week 13

Happy Friday...finally!!!

It's been a week, but it's almost over and I'm ready for the weekend.  Here's a look at my PL spread for Week 13...

This was the week I flew out to see my husband in Maryland for the weekend.  It was only the third time we've ever been together without the kids so I was over the moon excited.

I didn't take many photos of anything else going on that week because I was too busy getting ready for the trip.  Luckily, my mom sent me a few pics of the kids while I was away so I included those as well.

Left Side:

I used a mixture of my Studio Calico PL kits for this spread, but mainly I used the Office Hours kit.

I really, really enjoyed my little "getaway" with my hubby...even though it rained nonstop and was cold the whole time.  We had a blast exploring Baltimore and eating out without having to read over a kid's menu a jillion times, lol!

And the kids really enjoyed spending time with my parents who kept them very busy :)

Time 2 Smile

Hello everyone and happy first day of May!

I'm sharing a layout I created for the Come On Get Crafty blog using some 3x4 Project Life cards.

I've really been hooked on making 8.5x11 layouts lately and the 3x4 sized cards are great for setting up a basic grid design in a snap!

I stamped and layered several stickers and embellishments onto the title card and printed my photo off in black and white and at the same size as the journaling cards.

I added minimal embellishments on the rest of the cards and used a light aqua watercolor to paint around the edges of my page.

Make sure you stop by the shop and grab some goodies for your next page or project!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
