December Memories Album Part Two

Happy Monday, friends!  I hope you had a wonderful holiday and are ready for the New Year!  As promised I have the rest of my December Memories album to share with you today :)

I finished this baby up a couple of days after Christmas and I'm thrilled with the end result!  After I finally got over the fact that I wasn't documenting our month chronologically, it came together rather quickly.  You can see the first part of this album here.

I added an extra page showcasing our Elf on the Shelf, Erwin.  He was so fun to photograph and I wanted to include all of the places he had been in our house on one page.  I used a PS template that was included in the December Memories Class at GB for this.

And here's the other side of the insert...

I took a photograph of our Christmas tree's reflection in the window, printed it out at 6x8, and layered some letter stickers and embellishments right on top of it.

I included extra photos and ephemera from the holiday season in the chevron kraft bag that I included in my album...

I didn't take a ton of photos on Christmas day, but I captured enough of it for my album and I'm ok with that :)  I tucked a journaling tag inside of the small baggie of our day and how we spent it.

I didn't get a shot of the whole family either, so I included a photo of my three kiddos and my niece to fill the spot in the back of my album.  I also slipped all of my Christmas cards in the very back so they're all in one place.

So there you have it...a whole month of December Memories for 2013!  I really enjoy doing this each year and it makes December seem that much more special to me.  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great Monday!

December Memories Album

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!  I totally dropped the ball on blogging about my on-going progress with my December Memories album these past couple of weeks, gah!  I do have some pages completely completed, ha ha, and here they are...

I kept the design of my album fairly simple and used a lot of full sized photos.

I also didn't do a "day-by-day" style of album since I do Project Life.  I just decided to keep record of our specific "December Memories" moments when they occurred and not in any type of chronological order.  This was a very different way for me to record my month and I've struggled a bit putting it all together.

I sort of did my pages by theme...decorating, favorite holiday music choices, enjoying hot cocoa, Elf on the Shelf photos, decorating the tree, etc.

I did really enjoy working with the 6x8 Handbook size this year.  I will probably even add a few extra pages.

I stuck all of the notes Erwin the Elf left us in the kraft bag above.  I love adding in smaller pockets and envelopes to include random bits and ephemera.

I plan on completing my album next weekend and will make sure I post it for you before New Year's...promise!

I hope you have a wonderful holiday and a very Merry Christmas!

25

Happy Sunday!

I created this layout using a lot of Glitz Design and Freckled Fawn embellishments just for fun...

I was really inspired by the bright raspberry-colored embellies in the December OHDEERME kit for this layout.  I paired all the purple and yellow pops of color with lots of black, white, and silver accents for a graphic look.

I love the Finnely collection from Glitz Design...one of my faves for sure!

I was very inspired by the photograph of my daughter holding her favorite Christmas decoration for this layout so I added snowflakes throughout my page to incorporate the snow globe.  I also used black spray ink to color the "25" wood veneer numbers.

I love creating holiday layouts in non-traditional color schemes!  Sometimes it's really fun to ditch all the red and green for something else :)

I hope you're having a great weekend and getting a lot accomplished!  Thanks for stopping by today!

All I Want For Christmas Is You!

Hello everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  The countdown has begun...only 1 more week until Christmas :)

I'm over at the Chic Tags blog today sharing this layout using the Good Tidings Collection...

My daughter found this Santa hat when we were digging out our Christmas decorations the other day.  She was so excited that it fit and she's been wearing it ever since!

I love the Good Tidings Collection...it's perfect for all of my holiday scrapping and coordinates well with the other new collections.

Do you have all of your gifts bought and your presents wrapped?  I'm getting close and hope to finish up by Friday.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Week 48

Happy Monday.  The year is winding down fast...here's a look at my PL spread for Week 48...

Week 48 was Thanksgiving week and it feels like it was just yesterday.  I can't believe how fast this year has flown by.

I used the Cuppa Project Life kit from Studio Calico for this spread.  I loved the "days of the week" epoxy stickers and mini flair buttons that came in the kit.

Left Side:

Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie Frozen, but there was just a little too much singing in it for my taste ;)

We had a great Thanksgiving and enjoyed some time outside with the kids while the weather was still decent.

And here's a look at the full spread for Week 48...

That's it for today...thanks for stopping by and have a good one!

Hello Snow

Hello friends!

I created this layout using the December OHDEERME kit from Freckled Fawn...

I can't tell you how much I loved this month's kit!  Especially those adorable epoxy stickers and acrylic frames.

My daughter couldn't wait to get outside when it started snowing last week.  She was so excited to have a few snow days and played out in it all weekend!

I punched out all the snowflakes on my layout and layered some aqua vellum behind the silver glitter card stock to give it some color pop.

Be sure and check out the kit here.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Cup Of Cheer

Happy Tuesday, friends!

We've been snowed in since Friday so I've had some extra time to create over the past few days (in between hot chocolate making and drying out wet snow gear, of course :)

I created this layout using December's OHDEERME Kit from Freckled Fawn...

This month's kit totally rocked my embellishment world.  It was hard to pick a favorite embellie, but I have to say that the flocked snowflake brads and the epoxy button stickers were right at the top.

I used some black StazOn ink and stamped a few extra flakes around the brads...can't ever have enough snowflakes, right?!?!

I typed my journaling on a tag, tucked it into the vellum pocket from Amy Tangerine, and added a Glitz sticker right on top.

I don't live close to a coffee shop, so it's always a treat to enjoy a cup when I'm out shopping or running errands.  And it's even better when I have someone to share it with ;)

I hope you're having a great week so far!  Thanks for stopping by!
